Digital Safety 1st was originally created through a Commonwealth Government funded initiative to improve online safety for people with intellectual disability.
The project recognised that many online safety programs were difficult to understand and didn’t provide practical strategies that people could use in everyday life.
Today, Digital Safety 1st continues to help people build the confidence to enjoy technology, recognise online risks and make safer choices through Easy Read resources, practical tools and real-life examples.

Digital Safety 1st is made up of three practical topics that build on each other. Each one includes Easy Read resources, short videos, practical tools and real-life examples you can use every day.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked alongside people with intellectual disability, their families and disability services. Throughout that time, I saw one thing missing – practical, accessible capacity building that people could use at their own pace.
That’s why I created Me Plus More. Every program is built using Easy Read principles, real-life experience and practical strategies that help people build confidence and greater independence.
Today, Me Plus More supports participants, families and disability providers across Australia with engaging tools and resources designed specifically for people with intellectual disability.
