Sensitive information

Because of who we support, you may choose to share sensitive information with us, such as disability, health or NDIS-related details. We only collect sensitive information with your consent, or where the law allows it, and we only use it for the purpose you gave it to us.

If you do not want to share certain information, you can still contact us and use much of what we offer, though some features may not be available.

We collect some technical information automatically through our website.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where needed to run our service, including with:

  • Trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our hosting, payment, email and learning-platform providers, who are bound to protect your information
  • A support worker, family member or service provider, where you have authorised it
  • Government or regulatory bodies, where we are required to by law

When your information is sent overseas

Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including restricted access, secure storage and the use of reputable providers. We keep your information only for as long as we need it, then securely delete or de-identify it.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning some cookies off may affect how parts of the site work.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge to ask, though a small fee may apply in some cases for providing access.

Making a complaint

If you think we have mishandled your information, please contact us first and we will work to put it right. You can also read our Complaint Policy. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Consent on behalf of someone else

Where a family member, guardian or support worker sets up or manages an account for a person they support, we rely on them having the authority to provide and manage that person’s information. If you have concerns about an account, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website, with the date it was last updated.
